World TB Day is recognized annually on March 24 to mark the discovery of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, the bacterium that causes tuberculosis (TB). This annual event serves to raise awareness of TB, educate the public about its impact worldwide, and highlight opportunities to combat the disease.
Jurisdictions can voluntarily adopt all or parts of the MAHC, and aquatic sector leaders can use the MAHC as guidance even if their jurisdiction has not adopted the code.
Targeted climate-focused resources including a free, four-hour training that will equip health professionals with the knowledge, hands-on experience, and resources to speak and act confidently on climate change, the impacts on health, and solutions.
NACCHO is seeking a consultant to develop a toolkit that provides resources, best practices, and education on diversity, equity, inclusion, and mental health in the workplace.
This blog can give rural LHDs several approaches to increasing current capacity or establishing new baseline activities that may help staff respond to the health impacts of climate change.
