In July 2019, when I began this journey as NACCHO President, I stood in front of over 1,300 NACCHO Annual attendees and asked the question—“What kind of leader are you?” As important, I asked how their family, employees, and their communities would answer that.
On July 7–9, 2020, approximately 600 local public health professionals participated in NACCHO’s first ever virtual conference, NACCHO 360. Attendees participated in nearly 100 sharing sessions, learned from expert-led panels, and discovered solutions to improve public health in their communities.
Welcome to day two of NACCHO 360! Yesterday, Chief Executive Officer, Lori Tremmel Freeman opened the first plenary, “Leadership in Turbulent Times” by welcoming over 580 virtual attendees.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) has announced that George T. Roberts, Jr. , MHA, FACHE, CEO of the Northeast Texas Public Health District, is now Immediate Past President of the NACCHO Board of Directors.
