In honor of National Youth HIV/AIDS Awareness Day on April 10th, NACCHO is highlighting organizations that help address HIV and health inequities among youth.
Throughout the pandemic, the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) collected information from local health departments (LHDs) across the country to learn more about the impact of COVID-19 and the needs of LHDs.
In 2021, to understand the feasibility and necessity of implementing pharyngeal gonorrhea test of cure in local health departments, NACCHO partnered with the CDC’s DSTDP and released a request for applications (RFA) for the Pharyngeal Gonorrhea Test of Cure Project.
Funded through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, this project supports public health and clinical care partnerships at the local level to increase local jurisdictions’ ability to protect, respond, and support pregnant people and their infants from emerging threats.
