To combat the high rates of chlamydia and gonorrhea, the Anne Arundel County Department of Health’s (AACDOH) HIV/STD Prevention and Care Program has implemented new strategies targeted at the younger population.

    Expanding Access to STD Testing Through a Walk-In Testing Program

    The Florida Department of Health in Sarasota County developed the STD HIV/AIDS Intervention Program (SHIP) walk-in testing program in order to ensure clients who are symptomatic or have been exposed to an STD receive testing and treatment. Quickly diagnosing and treating STDs and HIV/AIDS is good for the client, their partner, and the community.
