In 2022, the County of Santa Cruz Health Services Agency (HSA) – Public Health Division was selected to participate in NACCHO’s CDC-funded Equipping Local Health Departments to Address Vaccine Hesitancy project.

Historically, breastfeeding parents were offered a universal postpartum program home visit where lactation was discussed and assessed with parents. However, many parents were missing out on lactation support due to determinants of health.
