Public Health Policy Involvement
LHDs conduct public health policy activities on a variety of topics, including traditional public health policy areas (e.g., tobacco, alcohol, opioids, or other drugs; emergency preparedness and response; infectious disease) and policy areas related to social determinants of health (e.g., safe and healthy housing, funding for access to healthcare, land use planning).
