2019 Prep Summit: Prepare for Evolving Threats with the New National Health Security Strategy!

Jan 24, 2019 | Kim Rodgers

Last week, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) released the 2019-2022 National Health Security Strategy to provide a vision for strengthening the nation’s ability to prevent, detect, assess, prepare for, mitigate, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.

With the 2019 Preparedness Summit just two months away, the release of this new strategy offers a timely foundation for attendees to explore how we can work together to improve readiness and adapt operational capabilities to address evolving threats. Whether your focus is on chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) weapons, cyber warfare, emerging infectious diseases, or catastrophic natural disasters, the 2019 Prep Summit is the perfect place to start thinking about how to use the updated NHSS to inform locally-led policies, guidance, best practices, training, and exercises.

From March 26-29, join nearly 1,800 attendees—who work in all levels of government (local, state, and federal), emergency management, volunteer organizations, healthcare coalitions, and academia—to collaboratively explore this year’s theme, “The Evolving Threat Environment.”

Early-bird registration is still available – register by February 8th to save $100, and sign up for the Preparedness Summit e-newsletter to get the latest news on the 2019 Preparedness Summit. Don’t miss this opportunity to build the sustainable preparedness capacity and capability to be able to adapt preparedness infrastructure and processes to address emerging and evolving public health threats.
