The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Healthcare Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) Summit aims to foster collaboration among local, state, territorial, and tribal health departments, as well as partners from across the nation. The Summit, supported by CDC Project Firstline, provides participants the opportunity to connect, share valuable insights, and explore innovative approaches between public health, healthcare, and community partner networks to advance the implementation of IPC in healthcare settings.

Summit Objectives:

• Engage in energizing networking experiences – and build stronger partnerships – with local, state, territorial, and tribal health departments and partners similarly dedicated to advancing collective work in IPC and HAI;
• Learn about tools, resources, and insights from a range of partners and health departments dedicated to uplifting IPC best practices;
• Gain familiarity and awareness of CDC tools and resources including CDC Project Firstline materials and CDC Interim Local Health Department HAI/AR strategy;
• Develop action items and gather practical guidance for supporting both the public health workforce and IPC uptake within healthcare facilities; and
• Gain familiarity and awareness of newly developed NACCHO tools and resources and support for local, state, territorial, and tribal health department IPC activities including the IPC toolkit and local health department competency bank.
