The Public Health Communications Collaborative (PHCC) launched just over two weeks ago. Since its launch, more resources and answers to questions about emerging issues related to COVID-19, including voting, vaccines, and sports have been added. A recent Op-Ed, authored by John Auerbach and David L. Lakey, which argues that we urgently need to begin preparing for a COVID-19 vaccination to ensure safe and equitable distribution is also available.
This site is intended to provide sample messaging about issues that are important to the field, so communicators are encouraged to provide feedback on other issues that need communications support.
As news about COVID-19 continues to dominate the media landscape, health professionals are increasingly expected to tackle tough questions from reporters and the public. The Public Health Communications Collaborative will hold its first live Q&A session on Thursday, Oct. 1, to share sample messaging about current issues and answer other questions about communications.
Led by experts in public health communications, this hour-long session is dedicated to tackling your specific questions when it comes to communicating with the media and the public.
