Requests for Proposals: NACCHO is Seeking Content Developers in Four Areas for its New Local Health Officer Program Curriculum

Mar 11, 2024 | Andrea Grenadier

The following Requests for Proposals have been released to support NACCHO’s Local Health Officer training program:

Request for Proposals: Content Developer for New Local Health Officials Training Program, Leadership Skills and Theory

NACCHO, in partnership with CDC, is seeking a content developer to create supplemental content for a curriculum that NACCHO will use to provide new local health officials (LHOs) with the knowledge, skills, abilities, tools, and networks to successfully lead progressive and innovative health departments. From 2008 - 2012, NACCHO delivered a training program for new local health officials (LHOs) called Survive and Thrive. Based on program evaluations, NACCHO engaged with a curriculum designer to restart the program with a four-unit, 12-month curriculum. The current units of the curriculum are 1) Personal Leadership Skills and Styles, 2) Building and Leading a Strategic Health Department, 3) Navigating the Political Landscape, and 4) Identifying and Managing Resources for an Innovative and Resilient Health Department. The purpose of this project is to build upon the existing work by creating additional content that expands upon the leadership principles and experiential opportunities for Unit 1. Please note that there are separate RFPs open for each unit. A consultant may apply for more than one unit. Please see the Request for Proposal for more details. Proposals must be submitted by Friday, March 15, 2024 by 11:59pm ET as a PDF file emailed to Ashley Edmiston at [email protected].
