This case study highlights how the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency’s (SCHSA) Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program partnered with Doctor’s Medical Center to address breastfeeding challenges for mothers with infants in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Key steps included drafting and finalizing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Doctor’s Medical Center, creating a shared workflow, and providing training to hospital staff. The initiative improved access to breast pumps and strengthened support for high-risk WIC participants. Read the full case study here.
