NACCHO’s Student Section Program is designed to support and connect undergraduate and graduate public health students by providing resources, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative environment focused on local public health. Through networking, learning, and service, the program empowers students to engage with public health issues, share best practices, and build meaningful connections with peers and professionals across the country.

Serving as a national platform for student engagement, the program fosters leadership development, collective learning, and active participation in advancing local public health initiatives. What is the Student Poster Competition at NACCHO360?

NACCHO360 is the premier conference for local public health professionals, bringing together practitioners, leaders, researchers, and students from across the country.

The Student Poster Competition offers undergraduate and graduate students a unique opportunity to share their research, projects, and innovative ideas with a national audience while gaining valuable feedback from public health professionals and peers.

Whether you’re highlighting a class project, practicum experience, research study, or community initiative, the Student Poster Competition is a great way to showcase your work, expand your professional network, and contribute to conversations shaping the future of local public health.

Students selected to present will be asked to:

  • Prepare and submit an abstract application for consideration as a student poster presenter.
  • Attend the in-person poster session at NACCHO360 to discuss your work with judges and conference attendees.
  • Ensure the poster reflects your original work and has been reviewed and approved by any co-authors, if applicable.

Prizes are awarded to the top undergraduate and graduate posters!

Eligibility to enter the competition is limited to undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in a school or program of public health.
