Mentorship Programs

NACCHO offers professionals the opportunity to learn and share resources with other local health departments around the U.S.

  • Retail Food Regulatory Standards Mentorship Program: This Mentorship Program connects retail food regulatory program practitioners who are experienced in applying the FDA Retail Program Standards with those who are newly enrolled and looking for assistance, resources, and recommendations for achieving a specific standard. Eligible participants include food regulatory programs operating at the state, local, tribal, and territorial level. 2026 applications are now open.
     
  • Vector Control Collaborative: NACCHO's Vector Control Collaborative (VCC) is a growing network of local vector control organizations that can share resources, experiences, and lessons learned with other local vector control programs. Learn more about VCC.
     
  • Wastewater Monitoring: This Mentorship Program matches local health departments with demonstrated experience in utilizing wastewater monitoring with local health departments seeking guidance, tools, and resources while in the early stages of developing a wastewater monitoring program.
