The UNC Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center developed a Neighborhood Bikeability Checklist to determine the level of bikeability in your community and suggest tips and resources to help you work to improve bikebility. Also available is a Walkability Checklist. Checklist is a 6 page PDF. Local health officials can use this checklist as an example of how LHDs can collaborate with local planning divisions, public works, and other local departments to increase bikeability in their communities as part of their efforts in implementing Health in All Policies (HiAP) in their jurisdictions.
