As part of a quality improvement (QI) project, the Ingham County Health Department (ICHD) sought to improve its Public Health Services division, whose mission is to reach out to low-income mothers and improve birth outcomes as well as maternal and child health. Through a QI process, the Public Health Services aimed to increase caseloads to reach and assist more low-income women and their families, and to increase revenue from the delivery of billable services.
