As part of a quality improvement (QI) project, the Municipality of Anchorage Department of Health and Human Services used QI techniques, such as Process Mapping, to improve HIV testing rates the Reproductive Health Clinic (RHC) and HIV Opt-Out Testing Program. As a result, the Department was successful in getting improved participation in HIV testing, with 31% more clients being tested at the RHC.
