Developing a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for Child Care Providers Training is intended to offer child care providers with the knowledge and skills to develop a COOP plan for emergency events, specifically a pandemic influenza (specifically H1N1). It includes trainer outline, notes, handouts, and PowerPoint presentations. The training can be used by local health departments or other community services agencies to help prepare the child care community for emergency events. This training is a supplement to Montgomery APC's Emergency Response Planning for Child Care Providers. This resource was field tested with child care providers (center and family based care) in Montgomery County, Maryland in September 2009. s a result of this training, child care providers demonstrated an increase in knowledge of COOP and pandemic flu. Child care providers and public health professionals contributed to the development of the training and it can be used as a supplement to the Emergency Preparedness Training for Child Care Providers developed by Montgomery County.
