This report details the steps that the Kentucky Department for Public Health took to conduct a study examining the effect of flooding in state on asthma hospitalization as a way to demonstration data linkages between environmental hazards and disease outcomes. Additionally the health department aimed to establish a Technical Advisory Group for the Kentucky's Environmental Public Health Tracking Program. The goals are to develop a plan to present data on environmental hazards, exposures, and chronic diseases based on the Nationally Consistent Data and Measures in a format that is accessible to the public and to develop a communication plan to promote EPHT within the state.
