This guidance was developed through a workshop involving several key stakeholders in health impact assessments (HIA). It provides users with an overview of which stakeholders to include when conducting a HIA, what the participation process looks like, and how stakeholders can influence the process. It provides general guidance on HIAs as well. While health in all policies is not the focus of this guidance document, HIA is a tool that can help jurisdictions move toward health in all policies and can help jurisdictions that have adopted health in all policies systematically assess policies. As with health in all policies, it is important to have stakeholders from multiple sectors present and participating in HIAs. This guidance provides ways to engage stakeholders and can be applied when seeking to engage partners in health in all policies.
