The District of Columbia's Sustainable DC Transformation Order is an sample of an executive order that can be implemented to advance Health in All Policies by building off of a county's or city's strategic vision for improved sustainability and health of all residents. DC created the Sustainable DC Plan and includes principles that establish sustainability as a priority in the operations of District government agencies, which includes coordination across agencies to embed practices to improve public health. The order creates a Health in All Policies Task Force, which is tasked with developing recommendations to advance health equity among District residents and strengthen the vitality of all communities. This executive order can serve as a guide and an example to other local jurisdictions interested in advancing Health in All Policies.
