This website from the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) Disability and Health Program provides lists of resources in the topic areas of accessibility, emergency preparedness, and disability and health surveillance. The IDPH's Disability and Health Program is a CDC-sponsored state Disability and Health Program. Accessibility resources provided include information, regulatory guidance, surveys, compliance plans, and checklists for barrier removal and ADA compliance. Emergency preparedness resources include information that can be used for developing a registry, planning for access and functional needs, accessible sheltering, continuity of care planning, and many other resources to aid health departments in developing emergency plans that consider and include people with disabilities. Most of the disability and health surveillance resources are specific to Iowa and include a chapter of Healthy Iowans 2010, BRFSS data, public health needs assessments, and other reports. Accessibility: This website is generally screen reader accessible. Images do not have alternate text descriptions.
