This tool is a website that provides an overview and free downloads of the NTG-EDSD screening instrument and manual. The NTG screening instrument was designed as a way for health care providers, family care providers, and direct support staff of individuals with Intellectual/Developmental disabilities to record changes in cognitive and adaptive abilities that are known to be associated with dementia. This screening tool is meant to be an initial screening to identify individuals that may need a more comprehensive assessment of dementia-related signs and symptoms. This tool would be useful for local health departments that are working on projects related to mental health promotion and prevention of mental health illnesses. Accessibility: The website is generally accessible. The screening tool is not fully screen reader accessible and navigation may be confusing.
