As a part of the Multi-State Learning Collaborative 3 (MLC-3) project, Kansas developed this guide to collecting and analyzing data for a community health assessment (CHA). This document lists several state, national, and federal data sources along with information regarding ten specific indicators and questions to consider when gathering data for each. Though this guide was designed for local health departments (LHDs) in the state of Kansas, it may serve as a useful resource for other LHDs interested in the development of a CHA - one of the three prerequisites for national accreditation.
