The Project Tycho database is a a digital database of infectious-disease cases dating back 125 years, a treasure-trove of information that could help scientists and public-health officials better understand how to fight the spread of deadly afflictions. The project aims to advance the availability and use of public health data for science and policy. They do this by acquisition of new data, by building infrastructure for data standardization, integration, quality control, and data redistribution, by developing innovative analytics, and by advocacy.
