This article reports the findings of 2 focus groups of public health practitioners and planning professionals. The goal was to determine what is needed to enable local health departments to address environmental barriers that may limit to mobility and daily functioning of people with disabilities. The article includes challenges and opportunities, lessons learned and future needs.
