The Arc of the United States is a partner in NACCHO's National Health and Disability Workgroup. The Arc is the largest national community-based organization advocating for and serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and their families. The Arc has nearly 700 state and local chapters nationwide and promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and actively supports their full inclusion and participation in the community. The Arc provides fact sheets, toolkits, publications and other resources in a wide range of topic areas, including public policy, civil rights, health, education, employment, housing, and criminal justice. These resources are designed for diverse audiences, including people with IDD, their families and caregivers, healthcare providers, policymakers, and more.
