These fact sheets were developed by SafePlace in Austin, Texas for people with disabilities, family members, friends, and domestic violence, sexual assault, and disability service providers. Printed fact sheets are available in English and Spanish, and audio fact sheets are available in English. Information provided includes risk factors for abuse and neglect, understanding how and why people with disabilities disproportionately become victims of abuse, preventing abuse, leaving abusive environments, and talking to children and youth with disabilities about sexuality.
