This guide was developed by The Empowered Fe Fes, a young women's advocacy and peer support group at Access Living in Chicago. This guide was created for use by women with disabilities, healthcare providers, parents, and community organizations. Topics covered include reproductive health, rights, and justice; keeping up with reproductive health; violence and abuse; mental health; and mothering with a disability. Recommendations for healthcare providers and resources for women with disabilities are included. Special focus is given to empowering women with disabilities to understand their reproductive rights, self-advocate for those rights, and make informed decisions about their own bodies.
