Persons with disabilities have the same sexual and reproductive health (SRH) needs as other people but often face barriers to information and services. This guidance note was developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and addresses issues of SRH programming for persons with disabilities. Those who address issues of family planning, maternal health, HIV and AIDS, adolescence, and gender-based violence may find this information particularly helpful. SRH needs have been widely and deeply neglected. The approaches discussed here apply broadly to all aspects of health programming for persons with disabilities. A framework for full inclusion of people with disabilities in SRH services is provided. Accessibility: This PDF is not fully accessible using a screen reader or Read Out Loud.
