Clown provides distraction for small children at mass vaccination clinic |

In an effort to maximize time in processing a large number of people during a mass H1N1 clinic, the Greenwich Department of Health came up with an idea of providing a distraction aimed towards kids so that parents and/or guardians could fill out forms readily. This idea in theory would be successful if the right distraction method? was implemented. |
| Actions taken to address the issue(s): |
The Department obtained the use of a Clown. As the forms were being filled out by the parents the children were entertained and kept happy until of course they received their shots. |
| Outcomes that resulted from actions taken: |
When scheduling a mass clinic that involves small children think of a strategy to keep them quiet and occupied until they receive their shot. The Greenwich Department had a great experience and the clinic process moved very quickly. |
