The Conference Planning Workgroup invites the submission of abstracts for the 2017 NACCHO Annual Conference,to be hosted July 11–13 in Pittsburgh, PA. The theme of this year’s conference is Public Health Revolution: Bridging Clinical Medicine and Population Health. Local public health has a central role in convening discussions and efforts around population health, clinical medicine, and the management of systems that measure health outcomes. As the principal Health Strategists in their communities, they are well positioned to bring together like-minded stakeholders to strengthen critical local partnerships with clinical medicine and other groups improve the health of their populations.
NACCHO’s Annual Conference Planning Workgroup seeks abstract submissions addressing all aspects of public health relevant to the conference theme, including public health practice, infrastructure, and foundational capabilities. Sharing sessions will be organized around key areas that highlight collaborative population health strategies with clinical medicine innovations to improve the social determinants of health. These tracks are:
- Metrics & Measurement
- Health in All Policies
- Community & Healthcare Linkages
- Communications, Marketing, & Messaging
- Health Informatics & Technology
- Developing LHDs from Within
Submissions should describe innovative, proven, or promising evidence-based practices, programs, services, systems, research, technologies, resources, tools, partnerships, and policies that attendees can implement in their departments and communities.
