The transition between the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) SharePoint site and new CDC JOIN External Partners (JEP) is in effect, and users of the old site need to re-activate their accounts with the new system within 90 days of receiving an invitation via email if they have not already done so.
The site, referred to as a “gateway for external partners to enter authorized portions of CDC’s secure environment” transferred nearly 1,300 user accounts as of May 2. All original information from the SNS SharePoint site was transferred to the new Medical Countermeasures (MCM) SharePoint site.
Registration for CDC JOIN is also required to access new tools for Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) awardees for the upcoming Budget Period 3. As of July 1, the planning requirements will be in effect, allowing the CDC to use the new tools to review the 62 PHEP awardee jurisdictions on their ability to implement their medical countermeasure plans.
The CDC’s new MCM operational readiness review (ORR) materials, including a data collection tool and instructions will be housed on the MCM SharePoint site along with the new Receipt, Stage, and Store (RSS) site survey form. All jurisdictions must comply with the new system and provide RSS information to the CDC as one of the benchmarks subject to funding penalties. Primary and backup users responsible for data entry for each jurisdiction must be selected upon registration. Selected users who are already members of CDC JOIN do not have to register again; however they must be identified in order to access the ORR assessment tools.
Awardees were provided a registration form May 19 and must complete and submit the forms for each identified user to the CDC by Friday, May 30. Users with questions or concerns about CDC JOIN registration may contact Allison Harrington at [email protected] or call (404) 639-2272.
