The CDC convened its second quarterly partner meeting for fiscal year 2014 on May 22 in Washington, DC. Some of the relevant topics covered during the meeting included a discussion about the next iteration of the National Public Health Security Index, which will include criteria for the Environmental and Occupational Health and Emergency Management domains. There was also an update on CDC’s response to MERS-CoV and a discussion on how to broaden the scope of the 2015 Preparedness Summit to take full advantage of the theme, Global Health Security: Preparing A Nation For Emergencing Threats.
