Applications are now open for CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS). EIS officers are CDC’s disease detectives responsible for investigating and responding to outbreaks and other public health emergencies in the U.S. and around the world. Our Disease Detectives receive training and are placed either at CDC headquarters, field stations, or with a state or local health department. We are seeking service-oriented physicians, veterinarians, nurses, allied healthcare professionals, and doctoral-level scientists for the incoming Class of 2020, with training beginning on July 6, 2020.
