NACCHO launched a new website for the NACCHO MRC Awards on Sept. 9, and opened the applications for this year’s Capacity Building Award and Challenge Award on Sept. 30. During Preparedness Month, NACCHO operated a digital outreach campaign to increase awareness of the MRC in five select U.S. markets, and to recruit volunteers. As of Sept. 27, the campaign generated over 29 million online impressions, and radio interviews with four MRC unit leaders reached an audience of over 200,000. NACCHO also selected a vendor to develop a new mobile application for unit leaders, and two NACCHO staff members met with the developer in San Francisco on Oct. 2 to discuss the functionality of the application.
