The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) Workgroup is off to a running start this term. The first meeting of the new term was convened July 24 via conference call. With the addition of a few new workgroup members, the call was filled with energy and ideas around potential activities for the new workplan.
While some activities from last year’s workplan may not be changing, the workgroup is looking to expand its role as MRC subject matter experts for NACCHO and the Division of Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps. Aside from offering guidance and product reviews, the workgroup hopes to harvest their expertise and experience as MRC unit leaders into product development and technical assistance tools. While the details need to be ironed out, it is already shaping up to be a productive and exciting year for the MRC Workgroup. We can’t wait to get started!
