NACCHO’s fifth and final year of the cooperative agreement with the Division of the Civilian Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps (DCVMRC) began on August 1. NACCHO staff have been writing the annual report to summarize the work completed in PY4 and have been outlining the deliverables for PY5. NACCHO’s MRC team presented the plan for PY5 and major highlights from PY4 to the DCVMRC on August 18.
Additionally, staff are exploring options to add functionality to the new mrcnaccho.org website to improve the site experience for MRC unit leaders. Planning is underway for the 2014-2015 NACCHO MRC Awards process, which is scheduled to open at the end of September.
Further, the MRC Connect application is getting ready for launch at the end of September in conjunction with National Preparedness Month. On August 25, staff hosted a demonstration of MRC Connect for the entire MRC network. View a recording of the demonstration here; if you did not register for the live webinar, you will be prompted to register. A transcript of the webinar is also available.
