In February, NACCHO MRC project staff met for a half-day retreat to discuss direction for the MRC program in PY5 and beyond. Work continued on the Network Profile of the MRC, scheduled for release in March, MRC unit leaders’ demonstration projects, and awarding contracts for the NACCHO MRC awards. MRC staff hosted the NACCHO MRC Volunteer Core Competency Advisory Workgroup Meeting Feb. 25-26 in New Orleans to kickoff the revision of the volunteer core competencies. Finally, NACCHO MRC staff shared the completed functional specification for the new web and mobile-based application with the Steering Group committee on Feb. 11 and began planning for beta testing of the application during the Preparedness Summit. On Feb. 28, NACCHO sent an FAQ’s document to the MRC network about the new application and introduced the naming contest, which will open to the MRC network on March 10.
