NACCHO staff prepared for the opening of the 2014-2015 NACCHO MRC awards throughout the month of September. The awards opened on September 30 and will close on November 7. All local health departments that house an MRC unit are encouraged to apply for the awards at http://mrcnaccho.org.

NACCHO also launched the new MRC Connect application on September 22. In the first week, the application saw 217 users who began to experiment with the functions of the application, including the gamification of tasks, community discussion forums, and announcements. All MRC unit leaders can register for MRC Connect at http://mrcconnect.org. NACCHO is awaiting word from the Google Play Market and Apple iTunes Store for more information about when the mobile application download will be ready for Android and ios phones. Stay tuned for updates about when the mobile version will be available for download.

NACCHO MRC staff also submitted two abstracts to the 2015 Preparedness Summit: an Ignite presentation about 2013-2014 Challege Award winners, and a learning session about the development and use of MRC Connect.
