Highlights: The National Network of Public Health Institutes (NNPHI), with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, held their ninth meeting on accreditation and quality improvement (QI) in Memphis, TN. Approximately 250 attendees, representing local and state health departments, state and national public health organizations, research and academia, and public health institutes, exchanged best practices regarding accreditation and QI across the country. Plenary session topics included public health informatics, minimum package of public health services, and a first-hand account of transforming a local health department. NACCHO preparedness staff also attended interactive sessions on changes to national accreditation, as well as improving services at small health departments through collaboration and cross-jurisdictional sharing. Staff also attended roundtable sessions on accreditation experiences led by local health departments.
