Earlier this month on the June Second Wednesday Webinar, CDC Division of State and Local Readiness (DSLR) provided new information on Budget Period 5 (BP5) Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Action Plans for all 62 state, territorial, and directly-funded Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP) cooperative agreement awardees and local Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI) awardees. The Action Plans will be used to help state and local health departments reach the goal of achieving an “Established” level of implementation for all elements of the Medical Countermeasure Operational Readiness Review (MCM ORR) by 2022. The Action Plans will also be a mechanism for states and locals to report their technical assistance needs.to the CDC. Within the Action Plan document, state and local users can set Action Item goals and associated Action Activities for elements of the MCM ORR that need improvement.
Webinar slides with more specific guidance for state and local health departments, along with the Action Plan template, can be found on the MCM Sharepoint Site (CDC Join access is required to access these documents).
