New Recommendations for Hepatitis Vaccination

The CDC and Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) have released new recommendations for hepatitis A virus (HAV) vaccination, which call for expanded vaccination during HAV outbreaks and in settings where a high proportion of people have risk factors for HAV vaccination, such as those serving people who inject drugs. The updated recommendations come as more than 30 states have experienced HAV outbreaks since 2016 and as adult vaccination coverage remains low. Access the recommendations here
