NACCHO is working with the CDC, the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists (CSTE), ASTHO, and the Public Health Informatics Institute (PHII) to provide capacity-building support to a series of CDC-sponsored informatics fellowships that will support public health and health care integration at the state and local level. Host Site applications are now being accepted from state and local public health agencies to host a fellow in the Health Systems Integration Fellowship Program (HSIP) and the Informatics Training-in-Place Program (I-TIPP). HSIP and I-TIPP are two opportunities for building public health informatics capacity in your health department: HSIP will place an experienced fellow at your agency and I-TIPP provides informatics training to an existing health department employee. Interested host sites can apply for an HSIP and/or and I-TIPP fellow within the same joint application.
HSIP and I-TIPP Host Site Applications will be accepted from January 27 to March 7, 2014. Learn more about the application process.
