Request for Applications: Substance Use Stigma Assessment and Response (SSAR)

Feb 22, 2022 | Francis Higgins

With support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Center for Injury Control and Prevention (NCIPC), NACCHO is pleased to announce a funding opportunity to local health departments (LHDs). Through this opportunity, NACCHO will award up to five (5) counties or cities to implement intervention to assess and respond to substance use related stigma within their communities.

Awarded applicants will work with NACCHO, CDC, and subject matter experts to develop and distribute a substance use related stigma assessment, analyze the collected data, and plan and implement a communication, education, or training campaign to respond to the identified stigma-related issues. Applicants may request up to $220,000. For full details about the funding opportunity, please review the Request for Applications.

Informational Webinar: NACCHO will host an optional informational webinar on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 2:00-3:00 pm EST. Register here.

Applications are due by 11:59 EST on March 21, 2022. Questions about this application can be directed to Francis Higgins, Senior Program Analyst, Injury and Violence Prevention ([email protected]).
