The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) is the voice of over 3,300 local health departments (LHDs) across the country. These city, county, metropolitan, and district health departments work to protect and improve the health of all people and all communities. NACCHO provides capacity-building resources to LHDs (e.g., trainings, webinars, access to subject matter experts, peer discussion) that support the development and implementation of public health policies and practices.
NACCHO works with CDC’s Project Firstline to enhance LHDs’ capacity to deliver infection prevention and control (IPC) training to healthcare facilities in their communities. The IPC Learning Collaborative was developed as part of NACCHO’s Project Firstline work to offer technical assistance, mentorship, and funding for LHDs to master IPC fundamentals and adult learning principles. One of the primary engagements for LHD participants in the IPC Learning Collaborative is a 2-day convening for them to share project advancements, gain insights from lessons learned, and foster connections with their mentorship pairs and fellow project participants. NACCHO is seeking an experienced meeting facilitator to oversee this small- to medium-sized gathering of 45-50 individuals, scheduled June 26-27, 2024 in San Francisco, CA.
