The Preparedness Planning, Outcomes, and Measures (PPOM) workgroup held its monthly call on March 24. The call kicked-off with workgroup members discussing a model practice that was submitted to NACCHO and assigned to the workgroup for review. NACCHO’s Model Practice Program honors and recognizes outstanding local health practices from across the nation and shares and promotes these practices among local health departments. Winners of the 2015 Model Practices will be recognized at NACCHO Annual on July 8. Following this discussion, Rachel Schulman and Stacy Stanford collected feedback on NACCHO’s Preparedness Profile Survey. PPOM workgroup members were asked to pilot the survey and provide additional feedback and/or recommendations on any changes that could be made. The call closed out with updates from NACCHO, which included information on the upcoming 2015 Preparedness Summit. The next call is currently scheduled for April 28.
