The Preparedness Planning, Outcomes, and Measures workgroup held its monthly call on October 28. This month’s call focused on the Ebola response effort happening within the local health departments. Nicole Dunifon started the conversation off by giving an update on NACCHO’s role in the Ebola Response. With an identified Ebola case in New York City, Sarah Sisco, Director of Evaluation, Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response, discussed New York City’s Ebola response efforts. Other workgroup members provided questions and comments around administrative preparedness, donning and doffing personal protective equipment, as well as guidance for law enforcement, and monitoring and movement. The call closed out with the workgroup members providing feeding to an upcoming NACCHO preparedness survey. The next call is currently scheduled for November 25.
