Virtual Congressional Briefing on Zika Virus and its Potential Impact on Public Health

The Washington Global Health Alliance and the Institute for Health and Metrics Evaluation (IHME) invite you to “Zika Virus: A brief overview and its potential impact on public health” on Wednesday, July 6th from 3 to 4 pm ET (CT 2-3:00 PM, PT Noon-1:00 PM). This informal briefing, held in collaboration with Representatives Adam Smith, Sheila Jackson-Lee, and Raul Ruiz, M.D., will provide the history of the Zika Virus Disease, its symptoms, prevention, and current trends in the outbreak. Virtual participation will be available through a live-streaming Facebook page. Local health departments are encouraged to attend and share this information with the public.
