The first annual National Adolescent Immunization Action Week (#AIAW22) is April 4-8th! Launched by Unity Consortium, this initiative aims to bring attention to the importance of adolescent immunization and to urge health care providers and parents to get adolescents up to date on recommended vaccines.
NACCHO is partnering with Climate for Health and ecoAmerica to offer an interactive conference workshop on Tuesday, April 5, during the 2022 Preparedness Summit.
With support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), NACCHO is pleased to offer a funding opportunity for the Equipping Local Health Departments to Build COVID-19 Vaccine Confidence project that will support LHDs to improve COVID-19 vaccine confidence and address misinformation at the community level in partnership with local trusted community messengers.
In 2020, NACCHO, with the support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), implemented the project, Supporting Local Health Departments to Increase Vaccine Uptake through COVID-19.
On December 14, 2021, NACCHO and partners celebrated the one-year anniversary of the first COVID-19 vaccine being administered outside of a clinical trial. This also marked the beginning of the national vaccination campaign.
