CDC has released updates to its general COVID-19 community guidance as well as its Operational Guidance for K-12 Schools and Early Care and Education (ECE) Programs.
At the 2022 NACCHO360 Annual Conference, the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) and our partners explored how the local public health workforce and its stakeholders can move forward amid an ongoing crisis while implementing traditional and innovative approaches to restructure a system built to protect the health of communities nationwide.
Each August, CDC, NACCHO, and other partners recognize National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM). This recognition is meant to serve as a reminder to all that immunizations are a vital part of a healthy life for all ages.
The National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO), the voice of the country’s nearly 3,000 local health departments, with support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has selected nine local health departments to participate as host sites in Cohort I of the Partnering for Vaccine Equity Project.
These resources can help LHD staff understand where to begin when it comes to supporting schools in their efforts to improve indoor air quality.
